摘要 An embodiment of the present invention relates to a negative electrode active material which includes a silicon-based complex composed of silicon (Si) and crystalline silicon dioxide (SiO_2). The silicon dioxide (SiO_2) has crystal grains. A carbon coating layer is included on the surface of the silicon-based complex. The negative electrode active material according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the silicon-based complex including Si and crystalline SiO_2 and thus the reaction of amorphous SiO_2 with lithium in the electrolyte can be excluded. Conductivity is provided by the carbon coating layer to the silicon-based complex. Therefore, the initial efficiency, the lifecycle properties, and properties of the battery capacity of a secondary battery including the silicon-based complex can be enhanced.
