<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly adjust white balance when electric flash is emitted. <P>SOLUTION: A subject area is extracted from a difference value between image data obtained when electric flash is not emitted and image data obtained when electric flash is emitted, and a noise component in the extracted subject candidate area is reduced. Thereafter, the quantity of light applied onto the subject candidate area is calculated. A white balance correction value for external light is calculated from the image data obtained when the electric flash is not emitted, and a white balance correction value for the electric flash light is calculated from the image data obtained when the electric flash light is emitted. The white balance correction value for external light and the white balance correction value for the electric flash light are mixed in accordance with the ratio of the quantity of light applied on to the subject candidate area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
