<p>The invention relates to a method for authenticating digital multimedia data in which the multimedia data are compared with a specified characteristic. The problem addressed by the invention is specifying a method by means of which a simplified check of the authenticity and thus of the trustworthiness of multimedia data should be achieved and the complexity of the test should be minimized. The problem of addressed by the invention can be solved in that a characteristic for the comparison is derived from a parameter used in the creation of the multimedia file and that said derived characteristic is used in the authentication.</p> |
