<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-pressure discharge lamp with a start-up supporting member superior in durability.SOLUTION: A dielectric member 20 is formed of a material which has a dielectric constant higher than that of an external enclosing member, and is engaged with a first sealing part 101A of the external enclosing member. The dielectric member 20 has a notch 220 on an end portion located at the side opposite to the side closer to the light-emitting part of the external enclosing member. The notch 220 is filled with a fixing agent 30 that adheres to the end portion of the dielectric member 20 to fix the dielectric member 20 to the first sealing part 101A.</p> |
