<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact total reflection fluorescence observation device of a low power consumption type using a light-emitting diode element as a light source. <P>SOLUTION: The total reflection fluorescence observation device includes: a first light source 11 that introduces light to a first side end face of a substrate having a light guide property so as to totally reflect it on a measuring object surface; a second light source 12 that introduces light to a second side end face facing the first side end face of the substrate so as to totally reflect it on a measuring object surface; an acquiring part 13 that acquires a fluorescent image of a fluorescent label on the substrate excited by evanescent light generated by the light introduced to the substrate in such manner; and a storage part 14 that stores the acquired image. Each of the first and second light source parts 12 includes: the light-emitting diode element, a first convergence lens for conversing the light emitted therefrom into parallel light, and a second convergence lens for converging the parallel light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
