<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building capable of easily securing the daylighting and ventilation of the whole interior of the building. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of open ceiling sections 2-5 elongated toward the sides of exterior walls 1a-1d from an almost central region in a plan view of a building body 1 and bringing about in an opened state from a first floor to a second floor are provided. Windows are provided in exterior walls facing the open ceiling sections, respectively. A staircase 20 is provided in at least one 5 of the plurality of open ceiling sections 2-5. In at least one 2 or 3 of the other open ceiling sections 2-4, first floor sections 6 and 11 vertically having translucency and/or ventilation properties are provided in a boundary section between the upper and lower floors.
