SAFETY ILLUMINATION FOR A SLICING MACHINE

The present invention relates to a slicing machine for cutting food product and a method for operating thereof and to provide an intuitive indication about the state of the machine in order to reduce the risk of injuries. The slicing machine for cutting slices of a food product comprises a machine housing including a circular blade rotating in a cutting plane. The slicing machine further comprises a stop plate movable perpendicular to the cutting plane by an adjustment device. The slicing machine further comprises a carriage mounted such that it is movable parallel to the cutting plane. The slicing machine further comprises a machine status display for displaying the actual status of the slicing machine.
