[Class 82 (ii)] [See also Group VI] A rotary air distributer 6 for froth flotationapparatus is formed as an inverted truncated cone with perforated walls and has an unperforated upright conical top and a flat bottom with agitating wings 7. Air supplied to the distributer through a hollow shaft 3 issues through the perforations and is broken up by baffles 9 on the lower parts of the walls of the cell which converge towards the bottom. Diagonal baffles 10 may be provided to suppress the agitation in the upper part of the cell. Additional reagents may be supplied to the cell by a pipe 11. |
