An apparatus and a method for recommending a location based on movement information of a user are disclosed. Location information based on the movement path of a recommendation target user is acquired, a staying location is determined by using the acquired location information, and it is possible to generate a recommendation area by using staying information for the determined staying location. One or more recommendation locations included in the recommendation area with reference to the current location of the recommendation target user are provided to the recommendation target user, and thus it is possible to provide a recommendation location with high quality by separating a recommendation area positively recommended for the user and another area. |
