The present invention relates to a negative electrode mixture for a lithium ion secondary battery, a preparing method thereof, and a lithium ion secondary battery having the same. More specifically, the present invention provides a binder which includes a substance including a dicarboxylic acid to prevent or suppress a negative electrode of the lithium ion secondary battery from peeling due to the volume expansion and contraction of a silicon-based negative electrode material, implement uniform electrode density by improving the sedimentation characteristics regarding the solids from being separated in a solvent, and improve the processing characteristics. The negative electrode mixture includes the binder including the dicarboxylic acid, an active material including silicon, and a conductive material increasing the conductivity of the active material, and a solvent.
