A method for treating osteoporosis, the method comprising administering a pharmaceutical composition comprising an acyl thiourea compound represented by formula (I) or a salt thereof and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier to a patient in need thereof: wherein, R1 represents an optionally substituted C1-6 alkyl group, wherein a substituent is any one of a hydroxyl group, a C3-10 cycloalkyl group, an optionally substituted C1-6 alkoxy group, an optionally substituted C1-6 alkylamino group, a C1-6 alkanoylamino group, a C1-6 alkylsulfonyl group, an optionally substituted C6-14 aromatic hydrocarbon group, an optionally substituted saturated or unsaturated heterocyclic group, an optionally substituted C1-6 alkylaminocarbonyl group, and an optionally substituted saturated or unsaturated heterocyclic carbonyl group; R2 represents a fluorine atom or a chlorine atom; and R3 represents a hydrogen atom, a fluorine atom, or a chlorine atom.
