Electrolytic cell |
摘要 |
The present invention relates to an electrolytic cell, including: at least two electrodes, each electrode including: a first and a second surface; and a number of perforations arranged in a substantially uniform pattern; wherein the electrodes are positioned relative to each other such that: at least one surface of each electrode is opposed to a surface of the other electrode, and a gap is formed between the opposed surfaces of the electrodes; wherein the cell includes at least one electrically insulating layer positioned on the opposing surface of at least one electrode, the insulating layer including a number of perforations aligning with the perforations of the electrode on which it is positioned. |

1. An electrolytic cell, comprising:
at least two electrodes, each electrode comprising:
a first and a second surface; anda number of perforations arranged in a substantially uniform pattern; wherein the electrodes are positioned relative to each other such that:
at least one surface of each electrode is opposed to a surface of the other electrode, anda gap is formed between the opposed surfaces of the electrodes; at least one insulating layer positioned on the opposing surface of at least one of the electrodes, the insulating layer comprising a number of perforations aligning with the perforations of the electrode on which it is positioned, wherein the thickness of the insulating layer is less than the distance between the opposed surfaces of the electrodes, and wherein the cell is configured such that fluid flow is directed through the perforations of one electrode, between the insulating layer and the surface of the electrode opposed to the surface on which the insulating layer is positioned, and through the perforations of the other electrode. |
