Provided are a user terminal, which can highlight a keyword in both a current page and a new content page when searching for a keyword, and a method for controlling the same. The user terminal of the present invention comprises: a display unit for displaying screens; a user input unit for receiving user input for searching for content provided from a predetermined device; and a control unit for displaying information of a plurality of contents searched in a first device by a keyword corresponding to the received user input in a first screen, on the first screen, and if any one of the contents is selected, controlling information corresponding to the keyword included in the selected content to be highlighted as information received from a second device which is different from the first device, and to be displayed on a second screen. Accordingly, information corresponding to a keyword is continuously highlighted on both a current screen and a new screen by inputting a keyword for search only once, thereby preventing the keyword from being repeatedly input to improve search efficiency of a user, and reducing fatigability of the user. |
