METHOD OF CUTTING AND CHAMFERING STRENGTHENED GLASS

The present invention relates to a method for cutting and chamfering tempered glass, which includes the steps of: cutting the tempered glass by irradiating the tempered glass with UV laser having a pulse width of 1-20 ps and an output of 4-75 W; and chamfering cut sides of the tempered glass by making the cut sides come in contact with 0.001-2.5 mm^2 of a heat source at the temperature higher than an annealing point of the tempered glass and lower than a vaporization point of the tempered glass, and then by moving the cut sides at a speed of 5-300 mm/sec. Accordingly, the tempered glass is rapidly cut without defection and is chamfered to have a uniform surface and excellent strength.
