An optical scanning apparatus comprising: an oscillating mirror unit that has a reflection face for reflecting light emitted from a light source; a torsion bar unit that swingably supports the oscillating mirror unit; and a drive unit that oscillates the oscillating mirror unit around the torsion bar unit to thereby scan the light reflected on the reflection face, wherein an opposite side face of the reflection face of the oscillating mirror unit includes a groove in which a curable resin is filled, the groove extends so as to cross a swing axis of the oscillating mirror unit, seen from the opposite side of the side of the reflection face of the oscillating mirror unit, and a width of the groove in a direction of the swing axis of the oscillating mirror unit is wider as a distance from the swing axis is larger.
