摘要 The present invention relates to a method for growing carbon nanofibers based on using nickel (Ni) and copper (Cu) catalysts by using an electrophoretic deposition method. The method includes the steps of: (a) using the electrophoretic deposition method, which uses a carbon electrode as a positive electrode and C-fiber textiles as a negative electrode, to deposit Ni and Cu catalysts to the C-fiber textiles; (b) reducing the C-fiber textiles deposited with the Ni and Cu catalysts; and (c) using an ethylene gas to grow the carbon nanofibers on the C-fiber textiles by using chemical vapor deposition (CVD). Accordingly, the present invention easily controls the catalytic metal deposition by using the electrophoresis deposition method and easily controls the diameter and shape of the carbon nanofibers as well as growing the carbon nanofibers having a large surface area uniformly. The present invention also provides the carbon nanofibers prepared by using the method.
