An artificial hair coated with an ultraviolet curable resin according to the present invention is produced by: coating an artificial hair supporter consisting of a monofilament with a coating composition comprising an ultraviolet curable resin and an ultraviolet radical polymerization initiator. The monofilament constituting the artificial hair supporter is selected from the group consisting of: a polyester-based resin; a polyamide-based resin; a polycarbonate-based resin; a polyarylate-based resin; a polyphenylene sulfide-based resin; a PVC-based resin; and a polyolefin-based resin. An ultraviolet curable (meth)acrylate resin, which can be used in the present invention, has at least one functional group, and can be used as a monomer type, an oligomer type, or a combination thereof with respect to the size of the molecular weight. The coating composition is obtained by essentially adding a radical polymerization initiator to the ultraviolet curable (meth)acrylate resin. A typical alkylphenol-based, acylphosphine oxide-based, and acetophenone-based initiator can be used as a suitable radical polymerization initiator. |
