When a counter-electromotive force generated by an inductive load is applied to the drain of a switch element, the gate of the switching element may pull the gate potential toward the direction opposite to its original potential due to capacitance coupling of the drain-gate capacitance, and this may cause a malfunction. To cope with this, a switch element that pulls the potential to the reverse direction is provided and controlled to turn on at timing at which the counter-electromotive force is applied. |

1. A circuit device comprising:
a bridge circuit of an H-bridge type or a half-bridge type having a P-type first transistor provided between a node of a high-potential side power supply and a first node and an N-type second transistor provided between the first node and a node of a low-potential side power supply; a pre-driver circuit that outputs a first drive signal and a second drive signal to a first gate node of the first transistor and a second gate node of the second transistor, respectively; a first switch circuit provided between the node of the high-potential side power supply and the first gate node of the first transistor; and a control circuit that performs on/off control of the first switch circuit, wherein the control circuit keeps the first switch circuit off during a period when the pre-driver circuit is outputting a low level of the first drive signal to the first gate node of the first transistor, and turns on, from off, the first switch circuit when the pre-driver circuit has changed the first drive signal from the low level to a high level. |
