PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start printing in a printing job in a short period of time, while suppressing power consumption, since a power state of each device can be finely controlled by detecting an operator approaching an apparatus body, authenticating the operator, and confirming that the print job by the authenticated operator is registered outside.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus which controls each device that performs image processing and controls communication with a server device that stores a print job received from an information processing apparatus, performs control of a power state so that the power state is shifted from a third power state to a second power state according to detection of an operator, and then the power state is shifted from the second power state to a first power state or the second power state is maintained, on the basis of a response from the server device. |
