The present specification discloses a method and an apparatus for controlling the flow rate of fuel in a drum boiler which generates vapor corresponding to the requirement of a load by supplying fuel. The method according to the present invention includes a step of dividing an entire range where a load from an initial load to a target load is rejected, into several ranges and setting them and a step of controlling the supply of fuel to a drum boiler according to the flow rate of fuel mapped to the ranges. According to the disclosed content, the flow rate of fuel supplied to the drum boiler can be changed according to the rejection of a load. Therefore, a drum level can be stably controlled.
