Disclosed are a touch panel having a mesh typed ground electrode and a method for manufacturing the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the touch panel comprises: a transparent substrate divided into an active area and a bezel area surrounding the active area; a sensing pattern unit formed at one surface of the transparent substrate, made of a transparent conductive material, and including a first sensing electrode unit in which a plurality of first sensing electrodes positioned in a first direction are disposed to be spaced apart from each other, and a second sensing electrode unit in which a plurality of second sensing electrodes positioned in a second direction crossing the first direction are disposed to be connected to each other; an insulating film formed on an upper part of the sensing pattern unit, and made of a material having insulation properties, wherein the active are is formed in a mesh pattern, the bezel area is formed in a strip shape, a first through hole is formed at a part corresponding to an upper end and a lower end of the first sensing electrode, and a second through hole is formed at a part of being spaced apart from a boundary part of the active and bezel areas at predetermined intervals in the second sensing electrode; and a metal pattern unit made of a metallic material to be overlapped in an upper insulating film in the active area, and including a bridge electrode for electrically connecting the first sensing electrodes to each other through the first through hole, and a ground electrode formed in the mesh shape not to be in contact with the bridge electrode. |
