Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for controlling heating and cooling equipment. Provided is a power control apparatus which is characterized by comprising an information checking part collecting at least one information among surrounding temperature information and power use information from multiple heating and cooling equipment; an equipment control part comparing at least one information among the surrounding temperature information and a preset threshold to generate a control signal of controlling the multiple heating and cooling equipment to be turned on or off; and a communications part transmitting the control signal to the multiple heating and cooling equipment.
