PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a passenger guidance system available regardless of location and time in the passenger guide system which provides guidance information to a passenger in public transportation.SOLUTION: A passenger guidance system 1 comprises: a beacon transmitter 2 for transmitting a unique ID 2a; a portable terminal 3 for receiving the unique ID 2a; and a server 5 connected to the portable terminal 3 via a network. The unique ID 2a shows the location of the beacon transmitter 2. The portable terminal 3 determines the position of the portable terminal 3 based on the received unique ID 2a. The server 5 sends passenger guidance information based on the position of the portable terminal 3 to the portable terminal 3. In this configuration, because the passenger guidance information is sent from the server 5 to the portable terminal 3 on the basis of the unique ID 2a received by the portable terminal 3 from the beacon transmitter 2, it is possible to make the passenger guidance system 1 available regardless of location and time.
