<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to prevent a recording material passing through a transfer nip from being wrinkled.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 includes: toner-image forming means 7 which forms a toner image; an image carrier 10 for carrying the toner image formed by the toner-image forming means, on a surface; a transfer member 21 which is rotatably arranged around a rotation shaft 21a, and comes into direct or indirect contact with the surface of the image carrier, to form a transfer nip for transferring the toner image to a recording material; and a guide member 43 which guides the recording material in order to convey the recording material toward the transfer nip. The guide member includes a first positioning section 43A which comes into contact with the image carrier or a structure 45 holding the image carrer to position the guide member with respect to the image carrier, and a second positioning section which is held by the rotation shaft to position the guide member with respect to the transfer member.</p> |
