OPTICAL DEFLECTION DEVICE, LIGHT DEFLECTION MIRROR, AND IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light deflection mirror which secures scan uniformity regardless of ambient temperature using a simple configuration and is capable of providing high image quality by suppressing luminance unevenness and image distortion.SOLUTION: An optical deflection device includes: a mirror 2 having a reflective surface 2a; a pair of zigzag beam units 4, each of which rotatably supports the mirror 2 and is formed in a zigzag pattern with a plurality of fold-back parts 4c; and a plurality of piezoelectric members 5a and 5b provided on beams 4a and 4b of the zigzag beam units 4, respectively. The device deforms each of the beams 4a and 4b by applying voltage waveforms on the plurality of piezoelectric members 5a and 5b to rotationally drive the mirror 2 using accumulated deformation. The device has a voltage adjustment unit which independently adjusts a drive frequency of a voltage waveform to be applied to each of the piezoelectric members 5a and 5b.
