PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conserve energy by reducing burdens on a recording medium and on an apparatus for thermal transfer, to reduce consumables, to have excellent storage stability, and to improve convenience.SOLUTION: A medium protective ribbon is a medium protective ribbon to be thermally transferred to a recording medium, and includes: an adhesive layer comprising a thermoplastic resin to be adhered to the recording medium formed of resin or paper; and a layer for prevention of sticking, which is formed by applying a resin having a glass transition temperature corresponding to a temperature set by adding a specified margin temperature to an assumed temperature of storage environment to parts of an adhesive surface uniformly distributed on an entire surface of the adhesive surface of the adhesive layer. |
