PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging type grinder capable of cooling preferably a controller.SOLUTION: A charging type grinder 1 includes: a brushless motor 6; a spindle 7 that is rotated by a rotating shaft 26 of the motor and extended vertically; a centrifugal fan 30 that is provided in the rotating shaft 26 and rotated: a switch 46 that is arranged behind the brushless motor 6; a controller 74 that is arranged behind the switch 46 and controls the brushless motor 6; a battery pack 5 that is arranged behind the controller 74; and a main body housing 2 that houses the brushless motor 6, the switch 46 and the controller 74 and has a battery installation part 4 mounting a battery pack 5 at a rear end thereof. In the battery installation part 4 in the main body housing 2 is housed the controller 74 and also provided a suction port 87, so that the controller 74 can be cooled by air to be sucked in from the suction port 87 accompanying the rotation of the centrifugal fan 30. |
