The present invention relates to a digital device capable of correcting a touch, and a control method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the digital device includes: a touch-sensitive display unit detecting a touch input; a transparent cover unit which is arranged in an open position or a closed position, and is overlapped with the touch-sensitive display unit in the closed position; and a processor which controls the touch-sensitive display unit. The processor detects a touch input in a first location of the touch-sensitive display unit; corrects location information of a touch input detected in the first location as a second location when the transparent cover unit is in the open position; and corrects the location information of the touch input detected in the first location as a third location when the transparent cover unit is in the closed position.
