<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing operating sound caused by vibration and reducing bending and vibration of a support member generated by a frictional force working between a belt and a transfer member with a simple and inexpensive configuration.SOLUTION: A representative configuration of the image forming apparatus according to the present invention includes: photosensitive drums 103y to 103k for carrying a toner image; an intermediate transfer belt 106 for transferring the toner image from the photosensitive drums 103y to 103k to a sheet S; a transfer member 108 brought into contact with a rear surface of the intermediate transfer belt 106 and transferring the toner image on the photosensitive drums 103y to 103k; a support member 109 for supporting the transfer member 108; and a positioning member 110 for holding the support member 109. The positioning member 110 is connected to the support member 109 at least in a region corresponding to the inside of the image forming region of the photosensitive drums 103y to 103k in a belt width direction B perpendicular to the rotation direction A of the intermediate transfer belt 106.</p> |
