<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixation device and an image formation device that enable an excellent image to be formed by preventing adhesion of toner to a tip of a separation plate.SOLUTION: In a fixation device comprising: a fixation belt device 110 and a pressure roller 120 that form a fixation nip part N fixing toner on a recording medium as conveying the recording medium carrying non-fixation toner with the recording medium held between the fixation belt device and the pressure roller; and a separation plate 141 that causes the recording medium disposed on an outlet side of the fixation nip part N and the fixation belt device 110 to be separated, the fixation device comprises: a cleaning device 130 that is provided in the pressure roller 120 to clean up adhered residual toner; a nip adjustment device 150 that adjusts a size of the fixation nip part to set a [fixation state] fixing the toner on a recording sheet and a [small nip state] smaller in the fixation nip part than in the [fixation state]; and control means 160 that drives nip adjustment means to put the fixation nip part into the [small nip state], and causes cleaning means to clean up over a prescribed time while keeping the fixation nip part at a prescribed temperature.</p> |
