<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning blade configured to maintain excellent cleaning performance for a long time, while preventing curling of a tip ridge part (contact part) of an elastic member which is in contact with a surface of a member to be cleaned.SOLUTION: A cleaning blade includes a planar elastic member having one end fixed to a support member and the other end which is a free end. The cleaning blade includes: a cured material, which is obtained by curing an area ranging from a free-end tip ridge part of the elastic member up to 500μm vertically, with a curable compound at least; and a material of the elastic member. The cleaning blade is formed by controlling a rate of increase (%) in maximum thickness of the area from the tip ridge part up to 500μm vertically, which is represented by the following expression (I), within a range of 0.05-2%. The tip ridge part is arranged in sliding contact with a surface of a member to be cleaned, to remove substances remaining on the surface of the member to be cleaned.</p> |
