摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire distance information in a scene from one input image obtained by using one imaging apparatus, with high accuracy.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 100 includes an optical system 200 for forming an image of light from a subject and an imaging device 300 for photoelectric conversion of an optical image formed by the optical system. The imaging apparatus includes also an optical element 210 which causes light from each point on the subject to form an optical image comprising a plurality of spot images on the imaging device and, if a first distance being a distance between one point on the subject and the imaging apparatus is different from a second distance being a focal length of the optical system, causes light from the one point to form a plurality of spot images of which the interval is varied in accordance with the first distance, and makes the plurality of spot images different in spacing direction between the case where the first distance is shorter than the second distance and the case where the first distance is longer than the second distance.</p>
