PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device configured to improve heat generation efficiency even when conversion characteristics of a thermoelectric transducer are saturated, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An electronic device includes a first thermoelectric transducer 80 for converting thermal energy emitted from a heating roll 48 of a fixing apparatus 40 to electric energy. The first thermoelectric transducer 80 has a high-temperature side 81 facing the heating roll 48, and a low-temperature side 82 located on a side opposite the heating roll 48. On the low-temperature side 82 of the first thermoelectric transducer 80, a second thermoelectric transducer 90 for converting the electric energy to thermal energy is arranged. The second thermoelectric transducer 90 cools or heats the low-temperature side 82 of the first thermoelectric transducer 80 so as to improve thermoelectric conversion efficiency of the first thermoelectric transducer 80, to improve heat generation efficiency even when the conversion characteristics of the first thermoelectric transducer 80 are saturated. |
