PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramide dispersion composition which has temporal stability allowing long-term storage compared to the prior art when stored under high-temperature conditions, and has an excellent skin care effect when applied to skin external preparations such as cosmetics.SOLUTION: A ceramide dispersion composition contains a ceramide represented by the general formula (I) in the figure and a nonionic surfactant. The average particle diameter of the dispersed particles is less than 60 nm. In the general formula (I), Rrepresents a linear or branched hydrocarbon group having 40-55 carbon atoms in total and including an ester bond in the carbon chain, where the hydrocarbon group represented by Rmay include one or more substructures selected from the group consisting of multiple bonds, aromatic rings, and heteroaromatic rings in the carbon chain; and Rrepresents a C11-21 alkyl group which may have a hydroxyl group or a C11-21 alkenyl group which may have a hydroxyl group. |
