<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastening chuck for fastening and fixing a thin-walled workpiece 2 in which processing can be applied to both surfaces of the workpiece 2 while fastening and fixing the workpiece 2 once.SOLUTION: A fastening chuck comprises a chuck drive main body 3 which is rotatable around a horizontal chuck axis by a half rotation and is almost U-shaped when seeing from the vertical direction, two fastening jaws 5, a workpiece loading unit 6 which includes an opening 9, and a half disc-like workpiece support unit 10. The workpiece support unit 10 is rotatable by a half rotation around the horizontal axis which is vertical to the chuck axis, and includes a butting surface 16 at the tip end in the rotation direction. A plate-like workpiece 2 is held by the butting surface 16 of the workpiece support unit 10, the workpiece loading unit 6 in its surrounding and the fastening jaws 5, and fastening and fixing is maintained even if the workpiece 2 is reversed by rotating the chuck drive main body 3 and the workpiece support unit 10 by a half rotation. Rotation drive of the workpiece support unit 10 is implemented by an adjustment piston 22 at the root part of a receiving support unit 4. The workpiece support unit 10 is provided with a balancing member 11 for surface butting.</p> |
