<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film for hard coat film base materials, which film allows a hard coat film, that is used in a retardation film production process, to be not deformed since the polyester film is used as a base material of the hard coat film and has predetermined surface roughness even when minute foreign matter exists on a casting drum to be contacted with the polyester film and which film allows the retardation film, that has no defect, very excellent flatness, a thin thickness being recently-requested quality and high quality, to be obtained stably.SOLUTION: A polyester film has a hard coat layer on one surface, and has surface roughness (Ra) of 70-120 nm on the other surface. The polyester film is 70-155μm in thickness.</p> |
