<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system capable of suppressing a data length of a wakeup frame for selectively awakening an ECU over a network where a plurality of ECU each capable of taking a sleep mode/wakeup mode are connected, and a repeating device.SOLUTION: In the case where control of a control target is not required, ECUs 311 to 333 are shifted to the sleep mode and save power consumption. The ECUs 311 to 333 transmit/receive the wakeup frames for shifting the other ECUs 311 to 333 to the wakeup mode. When one of the ECUs 311 to 333 receives the wakeup frame designating the ECU itself, the ECU is shifted to the wakeup mode. A communication system 100 is divided into a plurality of networks and reduces the number of ECUs connected per network. The repeating device includes a repeating table, such that ECUs connected to the other networks can also be shifted to the wakeup mode in the ECUs 311 to 333.</p> |
