PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a driver or the like to easily recognize that the brake force of a vehicle transitions from a regenerative brake force to a friction brake force. ! SOLUTION: A brake force corresponding to an engine brake is generated by a regenerative brake force. Subsequently, if the SOC of a battery 5 increases, then the regenerative brake force generated by a motor generator 3 is gradually reduced and, in parallel to the gradual increase of the regenerative brake force, a friction brake device 10 is controlled to gradually increase a friction brake force. As a result, the brake force of a vehicle 100 transitions from the regenerative brake force to the friction brake force. A second brake force control unit controls the friction brake device 10 to generate the brake force higher than the regenerative brake force before being gradually decreased by the friction brake force at a time of this brake force transition. !
