PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an end material part removing method for suppressing a crack from occurring in a product part when a product is taken out by eliminating a part unnecessary for a product from a brittle material substrate. ! SOLUTION: An end material part removing method comprises: the step of forming a scribe line 100 along the outer edge of an end material part 3; the step of forming an auxiliary scribe line 200 in the end material part 3 along said scribe line 100 in a manner to form a belt-like part 32; the step of removing a body part 31 from the end material part 3; and the step of moving the two end parts 321 and 322 of the belt-like part 32 in a manner to approach each other. !
