<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load controller that can suppress surge breakdown of an opening/closing unit which is caused by lightning surge.SOLUTION: A load controller 10 has an opening/closing unit 1 having a first switching element 17, a control circuit 4 and a protection circuit 5. The protection circuit 5 has a first function circuit 18 and a second function circuit 8. The first function circuit 18 has a first parallel circuit comprising a varistor 7 and a first capacitor 6. The first parallel circuit is connected to the opening/closing unit 1 in parallel. The second function circuit 8 has a diode bridge 9, a second switching element 11, a second parallel circuit comprising a first resistor 12 and a second capacitor 13, and a third parallel circuit comprising a second resistor 14 and a third capacitor 15. One input terminal of the diode bridge 9 is connected to the other input terminal through the opening/closing unit 1. The response time of the second function circuit 8 to lightning surge is set to be shorter than the response time of the varistor 7 to the lightning surge.</p> |
