PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal, an information acquisition method, and a program that are capable of realizing a convenient guide plate device.SOLUTION: A mobile terminal 10 is a mobile terminal capable of communicating with a guide plate device 20 or 60 that includes a guide plate 20a or 60a showing a guide map and that is connected with the Internet 40. The mobile terminal 10 comprises: an imaging unit 18 that images the guide map and obtains an image of the guide map as a guide plate image; an image acquisition unit 17 that acquires, as a display image, an image which is different from the guide map and includes information shown on the guide map and information not shown on the guide map from a URL associated with the guide plate image via the guide plate device 20 or 60; and a user interface unit 16 that displays the display image acquired by the image acquisition unit 17.
