PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a top plate for cooking device which allows for formation of a high definition print layer, and a metallic luster layer for making the light from a light emission part more visible.SOLUTION: A top plate for cooking device includes a glass substrate 10 having a cooking surface 11 on which a cookware is mounted, and a rear surface 12 located on the opposite from the cooking surface 11, and a print layer 20 and/or a metallic luster later formed on the rear surface 12, where the rear surface 12 is polished.
