<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal and a method for authenticating the communication terminal that can prevent authentication from being conducted against a user's intension.SOLUTION: A communication terminal 1 determines whether a user is a registered user on the basis of a face image of the user, and further determines whether authentication should be conducted or not on the basis of the movement of a visual line based on an instruction from the communication terminal 1 side. The communication terminal 1 identifies the user as a registered user, and conducts authentication only when the user moves their visual line according to an instructed movement pattern. Therefore, the communication terminal 1 can prevent authentication from being conducted against the user's intention.</p> |
