<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upright type front fork capable of improving responsibility of a reaction force against a compression stroke and an extention stroke.SOLUTION: This invention relates to an upright type front fork 1 including an attenuation force generating mechanism in which a vehicle body side inner tube 3 is supported by guide bushings 4, 5 fitted to an upper part and a lower part of an inner circumference of an axle side outer tube 2 in such a way that it can be slide upwardly and downwardly, oil is filled within the outer tube 2 and the inner tube 3 to form an air chamber Sa at the upper part in the inner tube 3 and an attenuation force is generated by fluid resistance of oil accompanied with extending or retracting motion of the outer tube 3 and the inner tube 3. A fitting surface of the guide bushing 5 below the inner circumference of the outer tube 2 is formed with a vertical groove 21 communicating an annular clearance defined by the outer tube 2, the inner tube and upper and lower guide bushings with the inside part of the outer tube 3.</p> |
