PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent abnormal sound occurring due to vibration of a friction member when feeding a sheet.SOLUTION: A sheet feeding device includes: a feeding member 30a coming in contact with a sheet P and feeding the same; a friction member 47 arranged so as to face the feeding member 30a; and a pedestal 48 for holding the friction member 47. The upstream side of a nip part N of the friction member 47 is a fixed region fixed to a friction member holding part 48f. The downstream side of the nip part N of the friction member 47 including the nip part N is a movable region movable along a conveyance passage. A first friction force acting on a lower surface of the friction member 47 is made smaller than a second friction force acting on an upper surface.
