PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens body which eliminates metal deposition causing a cost increase, and can suppress the fusion of the lens body caused by the heat of a light source, and the lowering of a light source output, and a vehicle lighting appliance using the lens body.SOLUTION: In a lens body 12 having a shape which extends along a first reference axis AX1, an incident face 12a formed at a rear end part of the lens body, a reflection face 12b extending frontward from a lower end edge of the incident face, a shade 12c formed at a tip part of the reflection face, and an emission face 12d are arranged along the first reference axis AX1 in this order. The light of a light source 14 which is made incident into the lens body 12 from the incident face 12a passes a center of the light source 14 and a point in the vicinity of the shade 12c, and is condensed to a side shifted to a second reference axis AX2 which is inclined frontward-obliquely and downwardly with respect to the first reference axis AX1. The emission face 12d is constituted as a lens part whose focus is set in the vicinity of the shade 12c. |
