PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a power supply assist apparatus capable of more securely stopping power supply in the case that electric leakage occurs when power has been interrupted by a ground fault interrupter.SOLUTION: A power supply assist apparatus comprises: an acquisition unit for acquiring a current value from a detection unit that is connected to a ground fault interrupter receiving power of an AC power system as input and detects a current value of an electric path for transmitting power to a power load; a power storage unit for storing power supplied from the AC power system and supplying power to the power load; a determination unit for determining whether or not the acquired current value shows that electric leakage has occurred on the electric path; and a power control unit for stopping the power supply from the power storage unit to the power load when it is determined that the acquired current value shows occurrence of electric leakage on the electric path.
