PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder for a printing ink that is excellent in solubility without containing toluene, is free from chlorine, has excellent adhesiveness to a variety of plastic films made of polyester, nylon, polyolefin and the like and can be used for general purpose in a variety of plastic films.SOLUTION: The binder for a printing ink comprises (U) a polyurethane resin produced by reacting (A) an active hydrogen component containing (a1) a polymer polyol having a number average molecular weight of 500 or more and (B) an organic polyisocyanate component. The organic polyisocyanate component (B) comprises tolylene diisocyanate and isophorone diisocyanate. The ratio of an equivalent of isocyanate group in the organic polyisocyanate component (B) to an equivalent of hydroxyl group in the polymer polyol (a1) [the equivalent of isocyanate group/the equivalent of hydroxyl group] is 2.5-3.0. |
