<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for installing fasteners with an electromagnetic effect protection function, which prevents a failure in a head portion including a dielectric material.SOLUTION: There is provided a method and system for installing a fastener. A fastener installation system 201 comprises a fastener 230, a cooling system 229, and a tool 214. The fastener 230 has a top portion including a dielectric material. The cooling system 229 is configured to cool the top portion of the fastener 230 to stiffen the top portion. The tool 214 is configured to install the fastener 230 in a structure 204 after cooling.</p> |
