The present invention relates to an advertisement providing method and a video server and, more specifically, to an advertisement providing method and a video server, in which a constant advertising cost is not paid when a user clicks an advertise video, a predetermined reference advertising cost per click and a bonus advertising cost based on the number of cumulative clicks are set, and an additional bonus advertising cost is paid in addition to the reference advertising cost whenever the number of cumulative clicks is over a predetermined number of times. The video server comprises: a customer managing unit which stores IDs and passwords of users and performs member authentication; an advertisement video play unit which plays an advertisement video when a user clicks an advertisement; an advertising cost managing unit which stores the total number of clicks and the total advertising costs for the advertisement video, pays the reference advertising cost per click, distributes the advertising costs to pay the bonus advertising cost whenever the number of cumulative clicks is over a predetermined number of times, and calculates reference advertising costs and bonus advertising costs per number of cumulative clicks; and an advertising cost earning unit which counts the number of clicks whenever the user clicks the advertisement video, extracts reference advertising costs and bonus advertising costs distributed to the coinciding number of cumulative clicks in the advertising cost managing unit, and earns the extracted reference advertising costs and bonus advertising costs for the user ID. |
